Coluracetam belongs to the racetam nootropic chemical family- a group of substances with pro cognitive and neuro-protective properties. It was first synthesized in Japan, where it was tested for its effectiveness in Alzheimer's disease treatment.

Coluracetam controls the flow to the cholinergic neuron,3 which in turn is vital in the synthesis of acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter responsible for memory. The proper functioning of the cholinergic system is necessary for memory traces to appear in the brain.2

Mechanism of action

Coluracetam's mechanism of action differs from the mechanisms of the other substances from the racetam family (i.e piracetam). It affects the so-called high affinity choline uptake (HACU) process, which can be described as a “narrow throat” in the process of acetylcholine production. Increasing the effectiveness of this process translates into the increased activity of the acetylcholinergic neuron activity.3

Biological activity

Coluracetam is a relatively new substance, hence adequate testing on humans is in progress. It has been tested; however, for its potential usefulness in various disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder or depression.

Studies on animals suggest that Coluracetam's possible mechanism increases the general amount of acetylcholine in the hippocampus- the structure whose contribution is vital in the appearance and evocation of memory traces.3

Caution! Coluracetam is a very potent substance whose doses are measured in micrograms (ug)! Doses between 300 and 3000 micrograms per kg body mass have been used in studies on animals. In humans- between 48 and 480 ug per kg body mass.

The best results have been obtained with doses from 5 to 10mg.

Our website contains objective and reliable information based on current scientific publications. We care about maintaining a high level of quality standards in the articles we publish by keeping our site up-to-date and making sure the information we place on it is clear and transparent. The authors of the website content are scientists from UJ, a neuropsychologist and a chemist.

At Allchemy.eu, professionalism is of our utmost interest. Our team consists of a neuropsychologist, a pharmacist, a chemist, a psychologist, and a physicist. We don't just “do business.” This is our passion and we test all available chemical agents on ourselves, selecting the most interesting ones while discarding those that we deem dangerous or harmful.

Do you value time and comfort? We ship our packages through DPD courier, Polish Post Office, and Inpost post boxes- every day! Orders made before 10 AM are shipped on the same day!

We care about your satisfaction. That is why you can always return an originally sealed product within 30 days of purchase, no reason necessary.

The products found in our catalog come from tested and trusted sources, are certified, and undergo laboratory analyses- i.e HPLC, GC, TLC; 1 H NMR spectroscopy, IR, AAS, and the physiochemical parameters -temperature melting point, pH, humidity.

Vaccuum packaging protects our chemical agents from the effects of oxygen and air moisture. Oxygen is a very reactive compound that causes the oxidation and breakdown of certain compounds, while water facilitates the development of bacteria and processes of hydrolysis. Thanks to the vaccuum packaging of sensitive compounds, our clients receive top quality products that can also be kept for later use. Nevertheless, it is important to remember to tightly reseal the packaging by removing any air from the bag and precisely closing the seal. This will pay off!
